Diseases Generally Brought about by Planets

1. The Sun- Fever, Typhoid, Jaundice, Heart disease, stomach disease, bone disease, fracture of bone, epilepsy, catalepsy, eye disease, skin disease, bilious disease etc.

2. The Moon- Heart disease, lung disease, dysentery, cholera, vomiting, Diarrhoea, blood disease, Boils, Cancer, leprosy, sleeplessness, mental disease, Cold, gastric troubles, urinary troubles, excess fluid in body, dropsy, blood impurity, giddiness, Vatha and Kapha (Phlegm) diseases.

3. Mars- Blood disease, thirst blood pressure, blood poisoning, injury, wounds, Cancer, leprosy, epilepsy, spleen disease, boils, Fever, burns, disease due to heat, bilious disease etc.

4. Mercury- Madness, eye disease, nose disease, throat disease, fever, skin disease, white leprosy, leucoderma, itches, arthritis, mental disease etc.

5. Jupiter- Spleen disease, ear disease, piles, fever, typhoid, diabetes, fits, dropsy, disease from phlegm, disease in thighs etc.

6. Venus- Diabetes, venereal disease, disease on face, eye disease, urinary disease, anaemia, leucorrhoea, bilious disease etc.

7. Saturn- Rheumatism, Paralysis, disease on legs, arthritis weakness, stomach disease, mental disease, muscular pain, nervous disease, breathing trouble etc.

8. Rahu- Leprosy, Cancer, disease due to poison, disease on feet, asthma, breathing trouble, allergy, small-pox, chicken pox, Itches, Boils, nervous diseases, etc.

9. Ketu- Mental disease, disease due to heat, anthrax, stomach troubles, boils etc.

Vatha, Pitha (bile) and Kapha (Phlegm) are the main causes of diseases. According to Hindu Astrology, Planets govern Vatha, Pitha, and Kapha. During the Dasa period of a planet, if he is in conjunction with a malefic, extremely weak, or posited in or owner of evil house, he will give disease mainly of Vatha, or Pitha or Kapha as the case may be.

It must be clearly understood that diseases are given by planets mainly during their Dasa periods or sub-periods. Disease that we see in a horoscope may not perhaps materialize, if the native does not get concerned planet’s Dasa. If Dasa lord is strong and favourable sub-period of an evil planet, will not be able to produce his disease seriously in that Dasa. If it happens it can be cured.
