Today's Astral Energy

The astral energy of March, 1, 2012 says: You will try to j\keep emotion on one side and take a practical view - you would like to tame others. Remember in love the fairer sex is planning to puzzle you. Be careful and do not get tricked by the smart talkers. Important to keep your cool and not to be pained.

My Healing Advice: Pain is created by us. We use people and emotions to develop pain within - is that not true? Stop it. Do not use emotions - the play of back stabbers - that friend whom you trusted betrayed you - that junior who stabbed you - that boss who favored someone else despite promising you - we let the situations and emotions play within us and enjoy the pain - we do not realize that we loose energy - please do NOT CREATE PAIN FOR YOURSELF- situations arise and either your choice was wrong or it was a KARMIC debt you re- payed - that's all -MOVE ON - LET GO/LET BE warmly - start trying today - watch yourself and instruct please - do tell me .

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 23

Continuation…

Dr. Shanker Adawal

Punjaraj: Gye vyayabhaavasansthe pituhu shotthaaha sukhinaha tadaa syuhu. Budhena vipulaa dharitree. His father’s brother’s give him much happiness. He inherits a lot of land from them.

Gholap: He is of evil bent of mind, crabby in nature, quick to anger, powerless, devoid of victory but a traveler. He suffers after being bitten by a scorpion, a snake or a similar creature. He could contract leprosy or blindness.

Gopal Ratnakar: He is knowledgeable, debauched, and has a propensity to live in other people’s houses. He has few sons. His mother dies soon. If Mercury is in combination with the Sun, the person has a trusting nature.

Hillajaatak: Chatushchatuhu dwaadasho haanidaha striyaha. At the age of 44 his wife dies.

Yavanjaatak: Vyayaychandrajaha dwaavimshat. He loses wealth at the age of 22.

Paaschaatya Math (Western Thought): He speaks clearly and is victorious in all his ventures. In Capricorn or Scorpio, the person has many covetous enemies. He is brave. If Mercury is an auspicious influence, the person has great introspective knowledge, is well versed with occult and with black magic practices. Mercury can also bestow great power.

Agyaath: Gyaanvaan swatungage vittavaan. Vidhwaana bahuvyayaha. Nripaat bhayam. Paapayute chanchalitaha nripajanadweshi. Vidhyaaheenaha shubhayute dharmamoolena dhanavyayaha. Ucche swakshetre lokadhoorinaha kaaryakartaa cha. He is learned and if Mercury is exalted he is wealthy. He squanders money. He fears the king. If Mercury is in conjunction with malefic planets the person is mischievous by nature and rebels against authority and the king. He is devoid of knowledge. If Mercury is in conjunction with beneficial influences, the person spends his money on religious projects. If it is exalted in its own House, the person can be a leader or a high official.

My Thoughts: All astrologers have ascribed beneficial properties in the masculine signs and negative ones in the feminine signs. Broadly every thing they’ve said is correct.

My Experience: If Mercury is in a masculine sign in the Twelfth House the person’s education is completed, he is content and wants to spend his money on religious projects. He succeeds in whatever he attempts. People like him and they allow him to influence them. His intellect is sharp and he does not misuse it. He suffers losses when at some point in his life, undertaking a big task he seeks the advice of those below him. He is a good manager and a good politician. If Mercury is in a feminine sign, the person is introverted, ignores other people’s behaviour, lazy and content to stay at home. He is intolerant of any discomfort. His education is incomplete. He manages to attempt an intermediate examination and abandon’s education after falling it. He does not trust anyone. If Mercury is in conjunction with the Moon, the person – irrespective of whether these planets are in a masculine or feminine sign – is full of false pride. He donates to charity only to show off to others and gossips about others. He is unkind, evil, cruel, unforgiving and unloving. He lives to eat. His life cycle is all about wining, dining and fathering a few sons.

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 22

Continuation…

Dr. Shanker Adawal

My Experience: Mercury in Aries, Leo or Sagittarius means the person will have only one or two sons. The person’s elder brother suffers. He is a writer or a clerk. In Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, the person is an artist, a sculptor or a typist. In Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, the person is a businessman. In Gemini, Libra or Aquarius, the person is a teacher or a demonstrator. Those who have Mercury in the Eleventh House benefit from trading in stocks and shares.

Mercury in the Twelfth House

Acharya and Gunakar: Patitastu rihife. He is destroyed by the actions he commits which are already destined for him.

Kalyanavarma: Sugriheetavaakyaamalasam paribhootam vaagmitam vaagminam tatha praagya. Vyayagaha karoti saumyaha purusham deenam nrishansam cha. He is intelligent, speaks well and people listen to him with attention. He is poor, cruel, lazy and always humiliated by others.

Vasishtha: Chandraangajo gatadhanam. Arthakshatihi. He loses his wealth.

Garg: Nripapeedanamsantaptam paravaadena peeditam. Nrishansam purusham chaandrihikuroote vyayaraashigaha. He suffers because of the King’s ire and people humiliate him. He is cruel.

Brihadyavanajaatak: Dayaaviheenaha swajanairvibhaktaha satkaaryadakshovijitaripakshahaha (2). Dhoorto nitaantam malino naraha syaad vyayopapanne dwijaraajasunau. He is callous, stays away from his own people, defeats his enemies, does good deeds and is generally the worst kind of human being.

Narayanabhatt: Na ched dwadashe yasya sheetaashujaataha katham tadgriham bhoomidevaabhajanti. Rane vairino bheetimaayaanti kasmaad hiranyaadikosham shataha kaasanabhuyaat. He is forever donating alms to sages and terrorizes his enemies on the battlefield. His inheritance remains undisturbed.

Aryagranthakar: Bhavati cha vyayega shashinandane vikalamoortidharo dhanavarjitaha. Parakalatradhane dhanachitavaan vyasanduraratha kritkaha sadaa. His physique is frail. He is poor and has to work for a living. He coverts other people’s wealth and women.

Jayadeva: Satsangakarmaapagatosadayashcha dhoorthaha sapaapo malino vyayasthe. He keeps away from devotional programmes or good deeds. He is unkind, selfish, evil and corrupt.

Kashinath: Budhe vyaye vyavi loke rog bandhusamanvitaha. Papasaktaha paraadheenamaha parampakshee cha jaayate. He squanders money, is diseased, a sinner, indebted to others, is defeated easily and humbles himself in front of others.

Mantreshwara: Deeno vidhyaviheenaha paribhavasahitosanyantyate nrishansosalasashcha. He is poor, uneducated, humkiliated, cruel and lazy.

Jeevanath: He carries out big Yagyas and goes on pilgrimages. The rest is similar to Narayanabhatt.

Jaageshwar: Budhe vaaramukhyaa dhanam vai bhajanti dayaa tasya kutastaatavargaha. Svakiye cha varge bhaveddataheenaha param shatruvargam jayetatra leeno bhaveddhoorthadhaama yadaa chaandrirantye. He squanders his wealth on prostitutes. He does not share his wealth with his near and dear ones. He is unwilling to help those in need. He defeats his enemies. He is unkind, evil but speaks in a polished manner. His father does not live well.

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 21

Continuation…

Dr. Shanker Adawal

Narayanabhatt and Jeevanath: Vinaa laabhabhaave sthithe meshajaatam na laabho na laavanyamaanrinyamasti. Kritaha kanyakodwaahadaanam ch deyam katham bhoosurastyaktatrishnaa bhavanti. If Mercury is not in the Eleventh House, the House of Profit he will get neither wealth, not good luck, nor good looks nor freedom from debt. Where will he find the money to perform his daughter’s wedding? This man gets nothing in life if Mercury is not present in the Eleventh House.

Aryagranthakar: Shrutamatirnijavanshahitaha krisho bahudhanaha pramadaa janavallabhaha. Roochiraneelavapurgunalochano bhavati chaayagate shashije naraha. He is of superior intellect, works for the good of his clan. He has a dehydrated body, is extremely rich, beloved of women, has a dark complexion and attractive eyes. Everything else Jayadeva said is similar to other astrologers.

Kashinath Acharya: laabhe budhe nityalaabho neerogashcha sadaasukhi janaanuraaga vrittishcha keertimaanaapi jaayate. He has many gains. He is free of disease, is always happy and mixes well with people. He gets a lot of honour.

Mantreshwara: Bavhaayuhu satyasandho. He is long lived and truthful.

Jaageshwar: His descriptions are the same as other astrologers.

Punjaraj: Shashije kanyaapragyaha syaath tathaa. He has only daughters. Punjaraj has listed the same career prospects here that he laid down for the Tenth House.

Gholap: He completes all his projects with the King’s help. He is brave, stoic, radiant, charismatic, virtuous, noble, learned, popular, and one who gets endless pleasure from women.

Gopal Ratnakar: He increases his ancestral inheritance of agricultural land. He is well behaved, flexible and excellent at mathematics. He suffers from eye-disease.

Hillajaatak: The same as Yavanjaatak.

Yavanmath: He is wealthy, has many good sons, is intelligent and beloved of the king.

Paaschaatya Math (Western Thought): If Mercury is strong the person gains much and if it is weak, the person suffers many losses. Its influence in various signs is thus: Aries – quarrelsome, Taurus – ill-mannered, Gemini – corrupt, Cancer – his friends are lowly, Leo – his friends are affluent, Virgo – learned and skilled, Libra – friendly with talented people, Scorpio- a quarrelsome cheat, Sagittarius – arrogant, Capricorn – a cheat and unreliable, Aquarius – has trustworthy friends, Pisces – a gossip who has many unfulfilled desires.

Agyaath: Bahumangalapradaha. Shilpalekhanacyapaarayoge anekaprakaarena dhanavaan. Ekaanvimshativarshaardupari kshetraputradhanavaan dayaavaan. Paaparkshe paapayute heenamulena dhanalopaha. Ucche sarvakshetre shubhayute shubhamoolena dhanavaan. This Mercury is beneficial and the person gains much wealth from sculpture, writing and trade. At the age of 19 he gets land, inheritance, wealth and children. If Mercury is in conjunction with a malefic planet then the person loses his wealth through bad habits. If it is exalted, or with beneficial planets, then his wealth increases because of his good habits.

My Thoughts: Most astrologers have laid down beneficial properties for Mercury in the Eleventh House. But even if Mercury is exalted and in conjunction with other beneficial planets all these benefits cannot be reaped because Venus and the Sun are inevitably close to Mercury in this location. Their malefic traits cannot be overlooked. Some astrologers have said great wealth is trait of Mercury but then they have said that in every house. This cannot be possible and if it were every individual in the world who has Mercury anywhere in his horoscope would be a millionaire. It is important while predicting the influence of a planet in a particular house, to keep in mind what that particular house rules over and also where that planet has its jurisdiction. It is incorrect to merely attribute everything in this fashion to Mercury. For example it is next to impossible to take any benefit from Mercury if it is in the House of Profit in the sign of Libra. Nor are there any benefits if the Sun is in the Tenth House, Venus in the Ninth, a retrograde Saturn in the Third House and Mars in the House of Wealth. It is impossible in some circumstances to get any benefit from Mercury.

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 20

Continuation…

Dr. Shanker Adawal

Gopal Ratnakar: He initiates auspicious works. He sees each project through to completion. His behaviour is not gracious and he suffers from eye diseases.

Hillajaatak: Digishasthaha saptadasho. He gets wealth at the age of 17.

Yavanmath: He is honoured, wealthy, and respected like a king.

Paaschaatya Math (Western Thought): He excels in trade and languages. His powers of concentration are high. His diction is excellent as his mathematical ability and grammar. He performs well as a broker, writer or grocer. These, however, are all applicable only if Mercury is exalted or in an auspicious influence.

Agyaath: Ashtavimshativarshe netrarogavaan. Arimuddapaapayute karmavighnavaan dushtakriti anaachaaraha. He gets eye diseases at the age of 28. If Mercury is adversely affected by any malefic influence, the person finds hindrances in every work he attempts. He does wrong deeds and is evil.

My Thoughts: All ancient astrologers have ascribed very beneficial attributes to Mercury in the Tenth House. Yavanjaatak and Hillajaatak’s references to getting great wealth as a teenager seem impossible, it is more likely that the person may inherit this rather than earn it. Jaageshwar’s contention that the person gets a very loving mother is worth observing. The references by an unknown astrologer to eye disease could develop as a consequence of reading too much. And he says this occurs at age 28. At the age of 28, in a person’s life, Mars becomes very proactive and hence it is likely that eye-strain caused by excessive brain activity could well result in the person getting eye infections. Otherwise there is no connection between eyes and the Tenth House. All the beneficial properties of Mercury are in the masculine signs and the negative ones in the feminine signs.

My Experience: Assuming that Mercury is alone in the Tenth House, I describe the following properties: In Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, the person’s is a clerk in departments where mathematics, writing, teaching, engineering are taught. In Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, the person can be a clerk in the survey department, public works department or postal department. In Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, he could be a linguist, a trader, commission agent, travel agent. In Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces the person can be a publisher, reporter, printer or financier. He may also do well as a stationery shop owner or a judicial stamp vendor. They spend their lives after retirement drawing a comfortable pension. If Mercury is beneficial in the Tenth House, the person has a loving mother.

Mercury in the Eleventh House

Acharya and Gunakar: Laabhe prabhutadhanavaan. He gets a lot of wealth.

Kalyanavarma: Dhanavaan vidheyabhrityaha praagyaha saukhyaaanvitaha. Ekaadasho budhe sthaane Bahvayuhu khyaatimaan prushaha. He is wealthy, has many servants, is knowledgeable, enjoys all manner of happiness and success, is long lived. He is a perfect man. Vashishtasaumyo visheshasubhangaha. He is knowledgeable and fortunate. Saukhyama saukhyavaan. Vaidhyanaath saumye laabhagrihagate nipunadheevidhyaa yashasvi dhani. Garga streevallabhotigunavaan, matimaan, sarvajanapriyaha. Laabhage somatanaye mandagni samapadhyate. He is beloved of women, virtuous, intelligent, has a poor appetite and popular.

Brihadyavanajaatak: Bhogaasaktosatyantavito vineeto nityaanandashchaarusheelo balishtthaha. Nanaavidhyabhyaasakrinmaanavaha syaallaabhasthaane nandane sheetabhaanoho. He tries many different types of food. He is very wealthy, courteous, soft-spoken, talented, powerful, strong, well versed in many sciences and arts. Curious about knowledge. Gya panchavede dhanam. He gets wealth at the age of 45.

He does well in his career and his siblings are willing to help him. He could be a publisher, editor, writer or other employee in a newspaper. He could be a teacher or in a similar profession. Basically his involvement is with professions where the process of learning continues life long. If Mercury is in Aries, Leo or Sagittarius the person could be a mathematician, astrologer, teacher, clerk etc. In Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn the person is a trader or is employed by one. He gets wealth at the age of 19.

Jaageshwar: Budhe kaavyavidhyaa tatha shilapkairvaa sada vaahanaimartrisaukhyo naraha. He is an excellent poet and sculptor. He has a loving mother and many vehicles.

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 18

Aryagranthakar: Navamo saumyagrihe shashinandane dhanakalatrayutena samanvitaha bhavati paapayute vishayasthitaha shrutimandakaraha shashijodhyami. He has a good wife and a good house. If Mercury is with any malefic influence, the person takes to bad ways. He is disrespectful of the scriptures and wayward.

Kashinath: Dharme budhe dhaamikashcha koopaaraamaadikaarakaha. Satyavaadi cha daantashcha jaayate pitrivatsaruhu. He is religious, digs wells for a living, truthful, in control of his senses and respects his father.

Jaageshwar: Bhaveddharmasheelo dhiyaa yogaleelalha shrutasmaatarkamkarma kartaa dhanaaddachya. Bahveteertha kritasushtthuvakta yada syaath budhaha punyaabhaave naraanaam visheshaat. He is religious, intelligent, practices Yoga, lives according to the scriptures, a debater and he goes on many pilgrimages.

Mantreshwara: Vidhyaarthaachaaradharme saha tapasi budhe syaath praveenostasativaagmi. He is knowledgeable, wealthy, religious and excels in debate.

Gholap: He gains a lot of wealth. He has no dearth of women, house, children and material wealth. He is gracious, brave, has many friends, a good poet, devoid of anger, one who thinks of the common good, prosperous, generous and correct.

Gopal Ratnakar: He has many sons, loves music, dance, and theatre. Travelling in the southern directions is good for him. He is a debauch.

Hillajaatak: Ekonavimshatim navamo maatririshtham karoti cha. His mother dies when he is 19.

Yavanmath: He is generous, good, virtuous, religious, thinks of community good like a king would and is wealthy.

Paaschaatya Math (Western Thought): He is corrupt, excels in languages, develops his own intelligence, interested in new and unusual things. If Mercury is malefic, the person can go mad. If it is beneficial the person excels in all a languages that he cares to learn and can acquire fame as a nuclear physicist.

Agyaath: Bahuprajaasiddhaha. Vedashaashtravishaaradaha. Sangeetapaathakaha. Daakshinya vaan dhaarmikaha prataapavaan bahulaabhavaan. Pitrideerghayuhu. Paapayute paapakshetre paapaveekshanaat pitrinaashaha pitrikleshakaraha. Gurudweshi mandabhaagyaha budhamataanugaha. Bhaavadhipe balayute pitrideerghaayuhu. Tapodhyaanasheelavaan. Bhaagyavaan. Dhaarmikaha. He has many children. He is well versed with the scriptures and teaches music. He is winner, religious, brave and fortunate. If Mercury is malefic or in conjunction with any malefic planet, the person’s father contracts leprosy or dies. The person ends up as a mendicant. He can become a Buddhist. If the planetary influence in the Ninth House is strong, the person’s father enjoys a long life. He is meditative, focused and mentally strong.

My Thoughts: In the Ninth House, all the beneficial traits are seen in masculine signs and negative ones in feminine signs. Yavanjaatak and Hillajaatak are right about the mother’s death but the unknown astrologer’s contention about the father’s death is wrong. As Saturn enters the Ninth House, there is a possibility of the mother dying. Yavanjaatak has made a reference that the person’s good fortune begins at the age of 32 but the position of the Sun in relation to Mercury must be checked when making predictions of this sort.

Mars & Mercury: Mercury in Various Houses, Chapter XX, Part - 17

Continuation…

Dr. Shanker Adawal

My Thoughts: When Yavanjaatak and Hillajaatak refer to a person’s wealth being destroyed at the age of 14, it must be kept in mind that usually children do not possess wealth at that age. Hence, this must be interpreted to mean that the person’s ancestral inheritance gets destroyed. Where Gopal Ratnakar talks of many sons, an unknown astrologer says the person has seven sons. The first is true of feminine signs and the other in masculine signs. All the beneficial traits are seen in the masculine signs and all the negative ones in feminine signs.

My Experience: Mercury is not a planet which brings death. Hence, the most it can do at its worst malefic state is to bring some chronic ailment. Therefore what Kashyap says that there are twelve types of horrific death signified by Mercury, is absolutely meaningless. The Western Thought line which speaks of ailments of the forehead are correct. That is because this person’s leanings are towards ancient learning. He could be an astrologer. His wife is good but speaks too much. She is, however, peaceful and lives happily with her husband. She does not discuss family matters with outsiders. She is somewhat a spendthrift. These are the traits seen when Mercury is in a masculine sign. In a feminine sign, the wife is not a good person and tends to discuss personal family matters with outsiders. The person’s study of the scriptures is incomplete and he can die of ailments affecting the head. Some astrologers do describe things like the King’s patronage, glory, happiness etc., but these are not in the domain of Mercury when it is alone. If mercury is the Eighth House and the Sun in the Seventh, Eighth or Ninth House, then its properties also affect the properties of Mercury.

Mercury in the Ninth House

Acharya and Gunakar: Dharme suthaartha sukhabhaak. He has children, wealth and happiness.

Kalyanavarma: Navamagate bhavati pumaanatidhanavidhyaayutaha shubhaachaaraha vaashishavarosatinipurnom dharmishtho somaputre hi. He is very wealthy, learned, virtuous, disciplined, a debater and gracious.

Vasishtha: Budho dharmakriyaasu niranta kurunjam. He is interested in works concerning religion. He suffers from many illnesses.

Garg: Mandabhaagyo budhe paape naro budhimadaanugaha. Bhaagyavaan dhaarmiko vaapi shubhe saumye tu dharmage. If Mercury is inauspicious, the person is not very fortunate and has much false pride in his own wits. If it is auspicious, the person is fortunate and religious.

Baidhyanath: Saumye dharmagate tu dharmadhanikaha shaastri shubhaachaaravaan. He is religious, wealthy, virtuous and lives according to the scriptures.

Brihadyavanajaatak: Budha upakritidhaataa chaaru jaataadaroyosanuchara dhanasupoo trairharshayukto veisheshaat. Vikritiyu tamanasko dharampunyaikanishttho hramritakiranajanmaa punyabhaave yadaa syaath. He is charitable, knowledgeable, good looking, has many servants, wealthy, peaceful, has good sons, religious, and forever involved in works that benefit the community. His mother dies when he is 28 and his good fortune begins at the age of 32.

Jayadeva: It is the same as Brihadyavanajaatak.

Narayanabhatt: Budhe dharmage dharmasheelosatidhiman. Bhaved deekshitaha swardghuneesnaanako va. Kuladhotakrid bhaanuvad bhoomipaalaat prataapaadhiko baadhako durmukhaa naam. He is religious, intelligent, seeks learning, bathes in the Ganges and generally brings prestige to the name of his clan. He has more fame than a king is victorious over all the evil men who oppose him.

Jeevanath: It is the same as Narayanabhatt.
